Crossing Bali to Mataram, Lomboks capital

Due to Idulfitri most accomodation on Bali was sold out from 09.09.-15.09., so we decided to first visit Lombok and finish our holiday on Bali afterwards.
In Surabaya we were able to catch a bus bringing us directly to Mataram without changing busses. A fine 18.5h ride^^ 7h to the harbour of Java, 1h ferry to Bali, 2h to Denpasar (capital of Bali), 1,5h to Padangbai, 1,5h waiting for the ferry, 4h ferry to Lembar, 1,5h to Mataram.
The trip was overnight so we arrived in Mataram at 11.September.
Mataram turned out to rather be a village than a city. It's attractions are one bigger and many small hindu temples, a shopping mall and a water palace that is rotten to a dirty park.
So we recovered from the long bus ride and collected some local fruits at the markets (Jambu and Jambu merak, Dragon fruit, mango big and small).
After organising our trip to the Gilis for the next day we finished the day with a football game ManU 3:3 Everton :P
